Pneumatic Actuated Valve
A pneumatic actuated valve adds a compressed-air actuator to a ball, butterfly or diaphragm valve for fast, automated on/off (or throttling) control.
What is a Pneumatic Actuated Valve
A spring-return or double-acting pneumatic actuator turns the valve. Spring-return fails safe to open or closed on air loss; double-acting needs air both ways. They are fast, simple and cheap to automate.
Materials & standards
- Spring-return (fail-safe) or double-acting
- Mounts to ball/butterfly/diaphragm
- NAMUR interface, standard accessories
- IP67 enclosure option
- 4–20 mA / fieldbus with positioner
Typical applications
- Automated on/off isolation
- Fail-safe shut-off on air loss
- Skid and package unit valves
- Hygienic CIP/SIP automation
- Hazard area duty
Pneumatic Actuated Valve at a glance
| Speed | Very fast stroke |

Frequently asked questions
Which actuator is fail-safe?
A spring-return pneumatic actuator fails to its safe position (open or closed) on air loss; double-acting does not.
Pneumatic vs electric?
Pneumatic is faster, fail-safe and cheaper for on/off; electric gives precise modulating control and fieldbus.
Can I add position feedback?
Yes, with a limit switch or positioner for 4–20 mA / fieldbus feedback to the control system.
